The Edenfield House is a bed and breakfast where the innkeepers’ goal is always to delight guests. Our eight-room bed and breakfast offers simple elegance at every turn. Whether it’s the well-maintained grounds, the individual rooms with the cozy luxury you’re looking for, or the attention to detail in the breakfasts, the Edenfield House is the perfect place to enjoy a getaway or vacation.

The Quinns- David & April

David & I bought Edenfield House in July, 2023, and look forward to meeting new friends, and continuing the glory of Edenfield House.

We met in 2017, and knew we wanted to do this thing called life together. Being older it made it a lot easier to navigate through what we wanted or didn't. We married on the 1 year anniversary in 2018, and haven't looked back. David was born in Australia, and came to the states when he was 39. He knew this was where he wanted to be and became an American Citizen. I was born and raised in Virginia. I grew up in Manassas VA, surrounded by the incredible history & battlefields of the Civil War. I enjoyed hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Swimming at Virginia Beach, and all the lakes around the area.

We bought a home in Metter just over 2 years ago and love Georgia!

We have 3 girls, 3 grandkids, and 2 pups. Bella is living on-site and will be managing Edenfield House. Codie, the oldest has plans to move down in a few years and help out. Kenzie is usually there mostly during the summer, but she's looking forward to helping make Edenfield House the best it can be for many years to come. As for the 2 pups, y'all may see them when you visit. Kilby is a Frenchton and Opie is a Mini Blue Heeler. They are both friendly and love to meet new people every chance they get.

House History

The Sunroom

Forged from what was once the "back porch", this picturesque social space was created during the massive 1985 home rejuvenation project. In fact, the two original fluted Corinthian porch columns still stand today. Six floor-to-ceiling windows and a skylight saturate this attractive room in sunlight, thereby earning the title of "Sunroom".

The Foyer

This inviting space escorts you from the front door and ushers you into the home's interior. All of the entry foyer's walls are adorned with murals hand painted in 1938. A massive hardwood front door is surrounded by the original leaded and beveled glass side windows, along with an amazing arched leaded glass transom spanning the entryway. Dentil molding eases the wall-to-ceiling visual transition and highlights the enormous talents of the master craftsmen responsible for this gorgeous foyer entryway.

The Dining Room

This amazing room has played host to many visiting dignitaries to include members of the U.S Congress and Senate, State Senators and Governors, county and city leaders, and even numerous TV personalities.

Inside the home

The Edenfield House is steeped in Sothern style and comfort. Original wood trim, 12 foot ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and gorgeous gilded mirrors all take you back to the "Gone with the Wind" era. There are a total of eight bedrooms, all with private baths; four of the eight bedrooms are on the first floor. Bathrooms are equipped with modern fixtures, marble floors and marble counters.

The Parlor

This warm and enjoyable sitting space is a marvelous room to visit, confer, read, or simply enjoy your favorite TV show or movie.The parlor is directly off the Foyer and gorgeous Dining Room.

Outside the home

The lawns, landscaping, and gardens are under constant state of improvement. Sitting on 1.5 acres, we are only 7 blocks from down Swainsboro Patriot's Square. There are 16 designated parking spaces, with room for more in nearby areas. The property is adorned with various trees and shrubbery. Can you name them all?
